He Joined The Family Of Congregation Shirat Hayam In 2013. Howard Was A Pulpit Rabbi In Vermont, The Interim Dean Of Jewish Life At The American Hebrew Academy, Interim Rabbi At Orhatzafon In Fairbanks Alaska, And A Prison Chaplain. Prior To Entering The Rabbinate, He Was An Outdoor Educator With Outward Bound.
Howard Is A Graduate Of The Reconstructionist Rabbinical College And A Member In Good Standing In The Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association And Ohalah: The Association Of Rabbis For Jewish Renewal.
In Additional To His "Traditional" Rabbinic Work He Is The Owner/Senior Guide Of Burning Bush Adventures. BBA Combines Back Country Experiences With Judaism.
In 2001 He Became Chaplain Of The Bennington Fire Department And Also Trained To Be A Firefighter. Today, He Is A Retired Captain Of The Eagle Hose Truck Company.
He Also Has A Life Coaching Practice Called, Pemsikwa Life Coaching.
